Drafted in 1964 at the age of 24. Thought I had dodged the draft. Really didn't want to go to the Army but did anyway and must say it was a good experience.

After basic at Ft Polk, LA got orders for Ft Leonard Wood, Mo and spent the duration of my service with the 208th MP company. (I was a "Morning Report Clerk".) Didn't know how good I had it until much later.
