I remember when the Holiday Inn first opened. There was a small casino
that you entered through a door at the rear of the hotel lobby. You turned
right past a row of slots and there was a crap, 21, and a roulette game
behind them. I don’t even remember a sign, it was like they didn’t want
you to know about it. Howard McMullen (Mac’s Club) was the crap dealer and we
got to be pretty good friends. He told me stories about Mac’s and gave me
chips and drink tokes from there. When the big casino opened I got an
invitation in the mail.
