I was in Hong Kong and I was pick pocketed!!!
I went to the US Embassy.
I had NO US ID!
After lots of explaining and answering lots of questions, I was okayed to start the new passport process.
I was told to go to a photo shop to take new passport pics.
So expensive, because they knew you needed it asap!
I had to stay in a HK hotel for several days. I was too stressed out and afraid to leave my hotel room!
It was so stressful to have to wait for my new passport.
Luckily I carried my HNL driver's license, Charge cards and traveler's check in a separate wallet.
Now when I travel, either foreign or in USA.....I have a check list I follow before I travel.
