While do not know when this practice started, nor ended, but apparently, there are no formal records as to who got which #. The ChipGuide includes these chips. I have a couple issued to me that are not yet on ChipGuide. As for value, the collector group for these has got to be very, very small, and unless the recipient flagged what number they received, I think that only #1 has any added intrinsic value. IMO
