Definitely, take the Williams to Grand Canyon train ride. It's beautiful, and best if you can get a seat in the lounge car -- which at one time featured a free cocktail as a bribe to pay the small extra fee for the ticket. You also will be entertained as the cowboy outlaws rob the train. They spend a lot of time in the lounge car -- be prepared to surrender some of your cash as they call it "robbing the train" but just for tips. The GC Rail Station is just a block away from a very efficient, free hop-on-hop-off tram that takes you around to all the great observation decks around the canyon's rim. You can spend as much time as you want and just stay on for ride back to the station. Here's the link.
