Don, here are a couple of similar encased dollars. These probably had a "lug" mounting on top although it has been broken off on each. These are dated from 1953, probably a convention in Las Vegas by "G.E.A. Co. - Los Angeles", whoever they were! The Peace dollar doesn't scan real well because it was either nickel or chrome plated. I found these in a Coin Shop.
