I remember talking with Louie Gibellini at his bar around 1970. He was only open sporadically
and his sister sometime ran the place. He no longer had gambling but at one time had craps, 21,
and roulette. All the tables matched and had claw feet. He had a large hardwood dance floor that
he installed in a way that you always danced with the grain of the wood. Louie was also a Nevada
State single-jack champion. It was a skill he learned working in mines in the area. I took the photo
of him with governor Bob List in Carson City in 1980. His 1993 interview with Bob McCracken is
well worth reading. He talks about breakins, getting robbed, thieving bartenders, and a host of
other things. His chips, marked LPG, stood for Louis Phillip Gibellini.
