I joined the CCA in May of 1992 and on August 20, 1992 I set out on one of my first - "Chip Adventures".
Earlier today I was looking for some old Chip Auction Catalogs in a tote full of Casino related "Stuff" up in my storage closet in the "Birl Roulette and Gambling" Museum.
I didn't find the Catalogs I was looking for but I found some really neat other "stuff".
Shown below is a re-cap of a whirlwind weekend trip I took to Reno, Nevada from August 20th thru the 23rd in 1992. What a schedule - up all night and napping in the afternoon. Geez I wish I was 46 years old again. Also shown is a receipt from an antique shop for some chips I purchased on August 20th. As some of you know I DON'T throw away anything !!
I remember when I got back I went and saw Bob Mera with a case full of 100s assorted chips I had picked up on the trip. What a great time we had swapping the chips and the stories about my trip !!
Also in the tote I found some nice old Nevada Matchbooks and some other crazy non Casino items I had collected over the years and that came to rest in the same tote.
It's great to relive some old "Chip Adventures" !!!
