I ask bidders to wait for the total invoice. When you go to send invoice you can change the shipping costs on the invoice to reflect multiple
items shipped as one. I believe that you can also refund the buyer. Don't refund the whole amount just the savings in the shipping costs.
This is an option in a drop down menu next to the items listing.
Changing the invoice and sending an updated invoice is the easiest.
