I have been trying to learn what the "K-C" in K-C Card Company stands for, or designates and I find virtually NOTHING!

I do have an old internet reference to a Dai Vernon story, who was insearch of a cardsharp that could deal from the center of the deck. No big deal now, but was quite a feat back in the day. Verification of this cardsharp's existence was referenced to a K-C Card Company, who worked there 2 years befor they moved to Chicage, fro Kansas City, MO

I am looking for references to the existent of the K-C Card Company in Kansas City, MO and NOT Chicago, IL.
