Fred, We go every year. Corn Palace is a photo op, but Mitchell is a good stopping point. Make sure you drive through the Badlands, you'll end up at Wall and you can kill an hour at Wall Drug. The Lodge at Deadwood is the nicest place to stay. There is a new Sheraton downtown at the Tin Lizzie, might be with a shot. All the parks are nice drives and worth seeing, Crazy Horse is nice also. Just don't go the first week of August(Sturgis Rally)
