ALL CHIPS SOLD AT THE TABLES. Only deviance I ever found was at Jamul Casino where I had bought a pocket full of chips from the craps tables. The "Crapsateer" or whatever his title was, came running after me, yelling that I was not to put them in my pocket and that I could buy from the cashier if I wanted to. "So, I'll give them back and you can reimburse me my money," I replied. Now he was really frothing at the mouth. "Why, you - you - get out, get outta here! And don't come back to MY tables!" I felt like saying, "Oh, they are your tables? Where did you buy them, at Sit 'N Sleep?" but I kept my mouth shut. And sure enough, the Cage DID sell me a few more chips. (I had been forewarned about this gentleman who had worked elsewhere, think at Harrah's Rincon, and was termed a "grouch" even before coming to Jamul.)
Back on subject, I guess it must be part of the Government Compacts they sign, but Indians always sell from the "their" tables, not from the Cage. It's about keeping the money in one place, to flow into bookkeeping.
