One person here along with two others thought Lucky Luciano as well.
All I know for certain is The Tombs in New York City and 1951 when I first learned of it along with seeing the $50 octagon gold from a distance of about 15 or 20 feef in my grandfather's basement....
About the .22 octagon barrel pistol, I drove my mother to the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office about ten years ago to turn it in along with a couple other throwaways she had... and they never saw the .22.
Not sure what I'm going to do with the boat; especially since there is no concrete evidence other than what my grandfather said and there's no way of prooing that except for his background of 41 years with Corrections and the region where both the family Luciano and my grandfather were born and, I assume that's how they became friendly at The Tombs though, it was known my grandfather used to do some favors for inmates which was not uncommon.
As I noted in the initial thread, other than a fork,.knife and crude tools... that's all I remember my father telling me about the boat. He also worked at The Tombs (cashier) before joining NYPD in '51 and retired, moved to Florida and joined PBSO and retired from there.
Toothbrush handles, matchsticks, shoe eyelets and a bunch of other things found in the workshop.
