"It will be funny if the Yankees DO win..." ... Andy Hughes
"He is the only reason you are able to run off at the mouth!" ... Andy Hughes
Wrong Andy.... How about all those clumsily dropped pop-up balls by DBack players? That certainly helped. How about all those Yankee bats coming through in timely fashion these past three games? That helped too. How about that awesome put-out, game-saving, play at home plate by Yankee Catcher Posada? Did that help? How about that sparkling game-saving defensive diving catch by Second baseman. Was that luck ... or skill? How about giving credit where credit is due? It's not all luck. You blame one player (Kim) for all of Arizona's problems and attribute it to Yankee "luck"... I credit Scott Brosius' 9th inning tying home run last night ... sending the game into extra innings ... followed up by another Yankee solo homer in the 12th inning. Likewise, I credit Tino Martinez's 9th inning home run the game before. How about Yankee pitchers doing their job, shutting down the AZ batters? Don't fix blame on one over-rated AZ pitcher Andy (Kim). How about giving credit where credit is due. The facts are that Yankee hitters (and pitchers) performed their jobs masterfully .... while DBacks relief pitchers and batters did not. Attributing Yankee success to "Luck" simply does not cut it. Arizona had three at-bat outs every inning... exactly like the Yankees did.... and the results demonstrate that they squandered more golden opportunities than the Yanks did. The Yankess perform as a team... all of your eggs-in-one-basket posts are about two excellent DB pitchers ... Johnson and Schilling as Arizona's saviours. Last I heard, the total number of runs scored is what wins baseball games .... not pitching records.
Did you witness that tremendous heart-warming tribute by the Yankee fans toward outfielder Paul O'Neill even when things were looking gloomiest when the Yanks were two runs down in the 8th inning? That's heart ... that's typical enthusiastic New York fans ... even when it appeared that the game may be lost!
BTW Andy... how come only my posts are "running off at the mouth" ..... and your "lucky Yankees" posts aren't? Remember ... YOU are the guy who refused to take my $25 bet on the Yankees!
