The poker room at Hollywood in Tunica used to be next door to the stage where the bands used to play and next to many slot machines. There was a wall between them but the "designers" forgot about the huge area above the wall by the stage so it just acted like a reflector right into the poker room. The short wall between the poker room and the slot machines was only 3 feet tall and had no glass or anything to stop the noise from every coin dropped and payout noise. To make matters worse the A/C unit was never adjusted correctly and you had freezing cold air blowing on you continuously. Fortunately after 15 years or so they finally moved across the hall where the high limit slot area used to be and it was fully enclosed and quiet. Sadly it closed permanently a few months ago.
