3. Could they have been part of the WB monogrammed merchandise line available to those who took the studio tour back then; possibly sold in the on-site gift shop..?

Lots of possibilities though, in this case; we pretty much have an idea of about when they existed. and maybe there are records of manufacture showing quantities or even a sales slip if a gift shop item.
