After the Museum fire, Bob was accused of arson and the insurance company refused to pay.
Bob sued and won $300,000. Arson was never proven. Bob bought the Sinabar downtown from
Slim Ewing and added live gaming. It opened on New Years Eve and I was anxious to get a chip.
Bob was watching a 21 game with some good action and I asked him if I could buy a $5 chip for
my collection. He reached into the rack, grabbed one, and handed it to me gratis. Bob bought
an Orange Julius stand on the NE corner of LVBS and Gass and added some slots. If you hit three 7s
you got to keep the machine. He called it the Million Dollar Dairy Freeze. I asked Bob if his $10,000
chips survived the fire and could I get a couple? He said he would if I'd make up a display of casino
items for his MD Dairy Freeze. I did and he gave me two $10,000 chips. Bob started building Vegas
World on the site of the MDM and had a trailer on site with a guy keeping a eye on things. I got to
talking with him and noticed some cases of booze stacked in the trailer. I asked him about them and
he said they were for the building inspectors. Bob knew how to get things done. I miss him.
