Rich, Winnemucca was my favorite small Nevada town in the 70s.
I remember a lot of those old joints: the Star, Ferris, Scottys, Gem,
Boondocks, Winnemucca Hotel. The Humboldt Hotel was my favorite.
I stayed there, ate in the class C restaurant and played in the casino.
Once time old Gus Knezevich went in the basement and got me two
old $5 chips and charged me ten bucks! I was sad when the place
burned in the early 70s.
