Hi Everyone. This will be my 2nd convention (first was 2019) and I’m already buying a dealer table, hoping to trade or sell a lot of my 1500+ extra chips, ~1300 of which are Nevada, but I also have ~200 US, non-US, wet, novelty, illegals, and more. Matchbooks, player’s cards, hotel room keys (cards), dice, tokens, silver strikes, wooden nickels, and more. Book value on the Nevada chips alone is $91k.

I would love it if you would look through my want list (link in signature) and bring any you have to trade or sell to me.

My traders list is fairly up to date as well, so if you would like me to set aside chips you’re interested in (no obligation to buy them), let me know and I’ll pull them ahead of time and put them in an envelope with your name on it to save both of us time.

I don’t have everything nailed down yet, and I don’t know exactly how I’m going to store/display everything, but I think I’ll figure it out by the 3rd day . I’m going to have a silent auction for some items, with a percentage going to the club. I’m also going to be offering a percentage bonus in free chips with higher levels of purchases, both to add value to those who purchase from me, but also to help separate you from your hard-earned dollars. I’ll offer free chips to new members who sign up at the show and use me as a referral, and that’s all I got for now.

I don’t have a fancy sign, and don’t know where my table will be, but my name is Barry Sherwood. My nickname here and elsewhere is “dagwood777” and on eBay I’m “ispguru”.

At the first convention, I hadn’t even joined the club yet. I joined shortly afterward, after realizing that the value of fellowship, advice, comradery, and knowledge was well in excess of the $30 or so the club asked of me. I saw some familiar names on badges but didn’t really take the opportunity to meet or speak with many people other than transactionally. This year, I plan to meet EVERYONE, put faces to the names, and get selfies with those who will let me. I’ll remind people that I’m the guy from Reno who drove my sister’s Jeep (and dog) to Colorado and shared pictures of myself and 44 Nevada chips in front of their old homes along Hwy 50.
