Some casinos in NICE and environs were American built and there were once sample "$" chips made in the period (1928-1932) but, they were never used in any French casino I know of.

Same with the FWI chip I had to correct with $ monetary unit. They only used (then) French franc when it was the French currency and the € now.... There were and are other forms of the "Franc" (other countries and territories)
