Here is a notched AC chip that clearly shows the spot color does not go right through the chip.

This is actually a chip from the club auction, so it's not mine to do what I want with or I might have made the notch a little bigger to show the yellow was just a cigarette paper thick (which I can tell for certain from its shape on the edge.
