In 1920 L.A. Rubber Stamp was located at 131 So. Spring St. in L.A. In 1925 they moved to a new address, so this chip is circa 1920-25. They advertised that they were the manufacturers of 1/2 Bone checks. The reverse says HANGTOWN N.S.G.W. This translates to PLACERVILLE, originally called HANGTOWN, Native Sons of the Golden West, a fraternal organization. 1/2 Bone appears on this side also. My question, What the heck is 1/2 bone ?? Chip is 1 1/2" and weighs 3 grams.
Any and all thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doug in Kingman, Az. (once called Beale's Springs)
