A guest at the South Point won $10,453,269.30 on a Megabucks slot machine jackpot early today, according to a news release from the casino.

The gambler, a visitor from New Mexico, was playing a Megabucks slot machine when they hit Nevada’s largest jackpot of the year so far. The player won on a $5 wager, according to the release.

The winner did not wish to be identified.

I heard on a twitter account that they had only put $40 into the machine prior to the monster hit.
