When we were there I was surprised at how much it rained (Or mainly just drizzled all day). Only other hint is if you go for the walk up to the big waterfall above Honolulu, which is great, just be sure to wear an old pair of shoes as it is very muddy. I wore a brand new pair of tennis shoes and that red mud never did come out. Had to throw them out.
