~~~ of the company. who was responsible for the gambling operation of the pavilion.
Everything found in French (without translation) clearly defined construction began 1873 and completed in 1874, and the name was CASINO CHALET when completed and is referenced hundreds of times (which burned down in 1919). Though there is no exact proof of the 5F jeton which I illustrate in this thread being from ROYAT, the CC monogram configuration of being back-to-back and intertwined along withe the exact CI monogram in the exact location under the denomination, pretty much suggests both pieces had a direct connection with eachother though, possible, during different periods within the span of the gambling operation which, how many years, is not found. There is no confusion that many casino operations did not have gambling and just because a building is named casino does not mean there was gambling within the casino since there are many casinos that never had gambling but, in this case, we can assume there was gmbling within the actual casino of which we are certain was named CASINO CHALET, though uncertain why and what the exact CI monogram is. Unless some documentation is found defining the monogram CC is not CASINO CHALET in Royat, we should consider it being pretty much an accurate assumption and, maybe, we will find metallic jetons with the CC monogram along with CASINO CHALET spelled out or higher denomination plaques reading the name of the casino and that of the gambling operation which just might me CI.
