Here’s a short story about a fellow Chipper and club member his name is “Rigo” and his family is from Havana Cuba .... his father worked in the casinos in Cuba and they got out of harms way .... first stop was Miami and then they had friends who were in the gambling industry in Lake Tahoe where he grew up .... Rigo and family later relocated to Las Vegas and he worked as a baccarat dealer and later floor supervisor at the Sahara the flamingo the Desert Inn and the Mandalay Bay Hotel... where he retired from....
My other good Cuban friend and club member Manny Orama.... and I were invited over to Rigo’s house for a barbecue now you would expect hotdogs and hamburgers but not Rigo he brought out the shrimp cocktails ...big steak teriyaki’s... lobster tails ... baked potatoes... beers... Cuban coffee & apple pie ....it was like going to a gourmet buffet he has a beautiful home here in Las Vegas and a great man cave with a terrific collection of casino memorabilia on the wall ....It was a fun day talking about chip collecting and his background and Mannys background life in Cuba .... here are some photographs of Rigo and his career take care and thank you for reading my post .... Rich in Vegas
