There have been a lot of attributions in this hobby over the years. Guides are published using the best information available at the time. Sometimes new information comes to light...unfortunately, while some things can be changed and updated, old guides still have old information. I'm not stating an opinion either way...we don't have the chip, and I haven't really checked out the available information, but I do remember several discussions
