I booked my car back in December and got a special deal on a Mustang Convertable or similar for a week at around $400. It was cheaper than rates being quoted then for sub compact cars. Actually the rental alone is $275 but there's a $109+ surcharge/fee added plus facility charge, taxes, etc. to get to the $400 with unlimited miles. I can always cancel the reservation if I come across anything cheaper before I go since I didn't prepay although prepaying would have added another discount.
