I have many memories of the Dunes going back to 1965 when I first visited there. One thing
that sticks in my mind is when I went to buy one of their current $5 chips around 1973. The lady
at the cage was very nice and picked out a nice one for me. As I was leaving she asked if I wanted
any back issues. She went and got two old $5 chips, one black and one brown on a rectangle
mold in almost new condition. I bought them but I was a little upset at having to spend the
extra ten dollars!
