Not sure... The impressions (horse heads or Hat and Cane) are recessed so it doesn't seem like one would push a shape into another. I've looked a bit more at the chip and the edges are interesting. One side protrudes and the other side is recessed. Kinda like an A profile vs. a V profile. I think the photos should show what I mean. Please post your H/C chip, I would be interested to see.
