Robert, thank you for those links. Those weighted H. C. Edwards chips are new to me.

Some of the Burt Co order cards show tungsten powder and lead metal weights being used in their chips, and we know that ASM used brass flakes/powder. Paulson and TRK used a fine lead powder in their chips. Many of those weighted hub mold chips were made before the Burt Co. took over the mold around 1947. So I was wondering what they used. Does anyone have an idea of what metal(s) the USPC Co. used to weight their chips?

I have some of those Burt produced B. C. Wills sample chips posted on the ChipGuide. The inlaid "Tri-Heavy Weight" sample chip is probably the heaviest clay chip I have at 13.37 grams. I believe it has a lead disc under the inlay.

Interestingly, the "Tri-Heavy Weight" hot stamp B. C. Wills sample chip weighs less than 10 grams. Hmm.
