I posted some colors of Viking Ship chips I got yesterday. I noticed on the blue chip the die didn't cut all the way through the inlay material. I had never seen that before so I had to look through all the chips again. I found several blue chips like that. I also found some variations of the rigging above the sail. Also found a chip with the ship facing to the right. I had never ever seen the ship facing in that direction. There were about 400 chips in the group and most were perfect, just as I have always seen. I think the reason these chips were together is that they were pulled off the line at USPC by quality checkers. I have no idea the process for manufacturing these inlaid chips but, it appears the die cuts and colors were put together at the same time. A lot of only the black chips have thin lines above the sails. The purple have the thick lines and only the blues have the inlay material not completely punched through. All of this paints a picture of some of the problems the chip makers had.
