Today, I visited my first casino in over a year. I'd never been to the recently opened Resorts World Catskill casino and was half way there after a business meeting. It is the closest casino to New York City that has actual table games, it's a little over an hour north of the city. Face masks were required and the slot machines and positions at the table games (only 3 players per table) were separated by plexiglass. And believe it or not, they clean the chips after they are used. It is a brand new building on the site of the former Concord Hotel, which was the largest and most well known hotel in the borscht belt. I did not at all expect that the clientele would be predominately Asian. I only stayed there for only a 1/2 hour, long enough to win $100 playing a version of Let It Ride. I could not get in on one of the few blackjack tables and the one craps table had a $25 minimum. I converted the $100 into a bunch of $1, $2.50 and $5 chips that are available for trade or sale.
