I would not mail a slot glass, even at the 100% guaranteed by the buyer that it is okay and that I will never be responsible for damages.

I am passionate on these things - similar to chips that I buy I insist that there must be a tracking number, so they won't get lost.
The extra cost in the mailing is more reassuring protection - that somehow it will get in.

Your "pieces" cannot be reconstructed to its original form, but if there is a similar 'pristine piece" to replace it, it might be difference situation.

The piece of slot glass or the piece of chip that you have paid for is not properly protected and guaranteed and does not get into
your hands - I will be sad - the hope of it getting to you and is lost along the way is a feeling that - I would miss it. right there and then, the thought process that makes you feel and hope for - in the last three to four days, come to nothingness, makes feel
numbed.

I know that "s**t" happens, but I make sure when I mail an item - it will get there. So far ..... works out the way I think it should be.

Here is a case scenario - a good friend of mine mailed me 10 $2.50 that all of them I do not have yet. the manila folder was slited on the bottom edge and one chip was missing - definitely it was "stolen with the slit cut" along the way, I wrote to my friend he has one extra - this has been about 3-4 months old. I have a hard time asking him to mail me the replacement - but the bigger Q is
should I offer to pay for the chip and the mailing cost plus the tracking#?.

Till now he did not volunteer to replace it and I did not insist a replacement - this is the mock question right now - because he is my chipping buddy. This is a dilemma.
