Tiger was staying at the swanky Terranea Resort at Palos Verdes (as good as any Las Vegas resort but without gambling of course) - he got up early to hustle to some promotional event which was to be televised or made part of a movie. From a snippet of KNX Radio news heard yesterday just as I was arriving home and turned off the truck radio - he was delayed in checking out, and a bit agitated/angry and took off fast to keep his early-morning appointment. You know the expression, "Speed kills"? Very, very common cause of car accidents; in my 40 years working in personal injury law I can tell you that "hurrying" on the roads is the major cause of collisions and car mishaps.
Apparently no drugs or alcohol involved, just a frustrated driver who may not have been familiar with the treacherous roads leading out of Palos Verdes.

Had Tiger crashed into the TV Director, that would have made for super-interesting news. "TV Director's Brains Scattered Across Palos Verdes By Frustrated Golf Champ in Genesis." But the scandal sheets will just have to search elsewhere for tomorrow's headline. Wishing no further violence, and a speedy recovery for the Tiger! Drive carefully, everyone!
