My sense is that a physical museum may be as aspirational goal, maybe one from when the group was started from a "Museum Fund" that was raised within the club. If that is still a main goal it does make sense to start planning that sort of stuff out.

In the meanwhile I has seen a lot of great work with people setting up displays and doing other educational outreach. A lot of good publicity for the club and MOGH.

The other great contribution I have seen is the digital collections and educational aspect. The crown jewel (of the entire hobby, in my opinion) is the Chip Guide. A free, open, crowd-sourced database of any type of collectible around. It's impossible to calculate how much that has helped the hobby.
