My first trip to Jackpot was April 1969 and unfortunately Diamond Jims was already closed.
There was a convenience store right across the street where I made a purchase. On leaving,
I drove around the back of the store and noticed probably 15-20 cases of those ashtrays stacked
up. Some of the boxes were rain damaged and many of the trays had fallen to the ground. I
looked through some of them finding four colors. I took a couple of each and left. I'm sure if I
had asked I could have had the whole bunch. I always wonder whatever happened tt them.
