of 'em. But I once had to serve Mrs. Casey Kasem. Traced her to an apartment building in Malibu, behind a locked gate. Pondering how to get in when a FedEx truck appeared for a delivery. The driver had a "clicker" that operated the gate. Bet you all didn't know FedEx drivers can get into almost anywhere with such electronic gadgets! He slides the gate open, and I "slide in," get to the apartment - Mrs. Kasem's new boyfriend is outside and turns the water hose on me and the Complaint! I leave the soggy mess outside her door and "swim" outta there.
Sounds funny, huh? It's a FELONY in California (and probably all other states) to pour liquids on a process server. The attorney and I debated whether to report the crime to the Sheriff, I decided to let it pass since it was "only" water. The attorney mentioned it to Mrs. Kasem's lawyer. I understand they both had a good laugh over it before the case was settled.
I'm done trying to find and serve DJ's and their kin!
