24 hours ago my 16 year old Grandson Gavin was in a horrible snow boarding accident at the Shawnee Mountain ski area in Pennsylvania. He crashed and severely injured his spinal cord. He had to be flown by helicopter to a hospital in Allentown. PA and he is now paralyzed from the chest down. He went thru a 5 hour operation yesterday to stabilize his spine to prevent further damage. The doctor said he would probably not recover the use of his legs.
To say the least my entire family is in shock and trying to cope with this terrible tragedy. Nancy and I are asking for your thoughts and prayers as we try to get thru this sad time in our life. It is impossible to express the grief I am going thru.
It is amazing how your life can be changed in a split second.
