and that's why I usually mail chips to you in a #10 envelope with a Safe-T-Mailer inside, "Non-Machineable" rate (without tracking). I've been told by the Postal Clerks that this in not exactly correct. Any cardboard that they can feel inside an envelope raises the item to "Small Packet" rate, same as a little bubble mailer, which costs $3.75 - $4.09 depending on distance to destination (that includes tracking). So far, I believe, the envelopes have (mostly) made it to their destinations. The Small Packet rate is supposed to rise in a week or two -- typical time of year for the USPS to decide it has lost a fortune on Christmas packages and political ballots, and decides to restore its books to the black.
While some chip sellers still offer a $1 or $2 shipping fee for use of envelopes, "we" are beginning to fall into the minority.
But, what say ye, other chip sellers?
PS - Jim, the DANNY is a pretty nice chip! Not often seen. I have one around here someplace. If I yell "DANNY!" very loud, perhaps it would answer.
