Well I've been serious, but I worked all Summer, outdoors. Check in we wore masks, then out to the outdoors, probably 300 yards from the next closest human, most of the time. Also, I'd think that jet ski's or water skiing aren't within 6 feet of others? Grocery stores, not so good. Small lobby, like the USPS, are too small and confined.
Besides the uptick in cases, newer studies are showing that masks don't really work and the visors are even less protection. Maybe some people are finally understanding that we actually have very little, except social distancing, that actually helps? Less contact is the best answer.
Maybe 1.3 million people dead has sunk in?
Good news that the trials are working and as soon as approved there are at least two companies that have a vaccine. Then we're back to how much we don't know. How long is the immunity, will we need a booster in six months? Does having the virus mean immunity for "how long". It appears that the time for that isn't as long as we would have hoped.
On the not as serious part, we both have been out to local small bars. No one wears a mask when they are eating or drinking. I know other countries are on lock-down, some with military enforcement. Some states have tried to close businesses, but then what? Kill the economy and small businesses? So I have mixed feelings, and I support that people need to do what they think is best. Anyone who wants to stay home is probably going to be the safest and not exposed to the people who want to go out.
I advocate free choice and free decisions, over a police state.
