Diamond Jim's Nevada Club - #'s puzzle

The Nevada Club (downtown Las Vegas) operated for a while as Diamond Jim's Nevada Club. During that time, they produced a series of HHL mold chips with inlays - 25c, $1.oo, $5.oo and $25. All but the 25c chip had serial numbers on the reverse side.

The serial numbers were a combination of a letter + a 3-digit number. So, theoretically, the serial number could be A thru Z plus 000 thru 999. The question is, was there a pattern or limit to the serial numbers actually used.

The chip order card, from Burt Co. shows that 15,000 $1's, plus 4,000 $5's, plus 1000 $25's were made. ( Note: order card dated 1963, but use date on ChipGuide says 1962. ChipGuide date should probably be changed.

With a 3-digit number, at least 15 letters would need to be used for each $1 to be unique. Were they lettered A thru O (or perhaps P?) or were other letters used? Were all numbers used (000 thru 999) or just some letters? Any pattern that can be discerned from the available chips in collectors' hands?

The serial numbers (in green hot-stamp) on the ChipGuide are $1: K415; $5: C818; $25: A642. I have a $1: H735 and a $5: R863.

If you have more of these, post your serial numbers in this thread. Maybe we can figure out a pattern??? (Has anyone tried this already?)

Examples of the chips, and copy of the order card shown below (all pics from MOGH/ChipGuide).
