It does seem safe clean well maintained and affordable and if you do want to walk amongst the crowds and glitter of the strip or downtown you can go within minutes and know that you can leave. I did enjoy hanging out on the strip on a couple stays, one at the Planet Hollywood very fun and a lot of shops on the miracle mile. Also a memorable stay in a killer room at a Cosmopolitan room with wrap around balcony living room kitchen separate bedroom and 2 bathrooms etc. Overlooking the Bellagio fountain and the Paris casino. I used all my Marriot points to stay there and well worth it.
I’ve never stayed downtown but heard it is nice as well. But I do feel safe and comfortable at the SP which means a lot to me too.
I might even come off convention one of these times especially if we do not have one. I’m looking into a few destinations as soon as things get better. I can hardly wait to get vaccinated and roam free without worry.
