Egypt not the only place with water problems. When we were in Russia in the early 2000's we would only drink bottled water since the regular stuff was not considered safe by the other embassy personnel. You would think one of the worlds superpowers would at least have decent water. I got food poisoning anyway but I don't think it had anything to do with the water. We had lunch on the 3rd floor of the GUM department store and my stomach started rumbling shortly afterward. I believe it was the appetizer that had mayo in it and was not properly refrigerated. I was ill for three days and barely remember the tours of the best Moscow sites I was so sick.
