NEVADA GAMING CONTROL BOARD Friday, January 24, 1958
The meeting was called to order at 10 a. m., in the office of the Gaming Control
Board, with the following members present:
R. E. Cahill, Chairman William V. Sinnott, Member William G. Gallagher, Member
Also present were Mr. David Malcolm, Chief Auditor, and Mr. John Stratton, Office Manager. TOPAZ LODGE - GARDNERVILLE
Messrs. Phillip A. LaSorella, Harold R. Roberts, Walter Petersen, and Richard L. Fuller, accompanied by their attorney, Robert McDonald, appeared before the Board in behalf of

their application for a license at Topaz Lodge, Gardnerville. The finances of the operation were discussed and concern was expressed by the Board regarding the inadequacy of the available cash for opening costs. Mr. McDonald answered that he was authorized to state for the seller, Don French, that he would reduce the down payment by $15, 000 in order to make available more cash. A representation was also made that if necessary Mr. Roberts would, from his own funds, be able to increase

Following discussion by the Board, a motion was made by Mr. Gallagher that the application be approved contingent upon living up to the commitments and representations made before the Board, |i and, in addition, that the commitments of contributions to capital be fulfilled in accordance with what is filed here before this license is iissued. Mr. Sinnott seconded the motion and it was passed. The following action was taken on applications:
