Spinettis Gaming Supplies will be hosting Member Gregg Fisher's attempt to break Paul's record.
The original record was established and set by an other individual, who then had the rights to set the criteria. That criteria was a collection of $1 gaming chip or $1 token, from different casinos around the World. In Paul's case, it was 802 different casinos (and he did chips only). In Gregg's effort, it will be from 818 different casinos. (I do not know if he is planning to use a mix of chips and tokens, or just chips.)
BTW - Anyone is encouraged to try and break a current record. Using the criteria for this record, one only needs the variety of $1 chips or tokens, a location (open to the public) to display the record attempt and to process an application through Guinness.
Note also, one can establish a new set of criteria, say with any denomination, or colors, or whatever, by paying a fee to Guinness for a new category.
Good luck to Gregg, as setting up is not a done deal to set the record. Part of the process is to have 2 witnesses, with skillsets in the hobby, that will verify each of the 818 entries as valid issues.
