I am a European. Born in England to a grand parent who fought in Ww2 one of my wife’s grandparents was sent to a concentration camp and my grandfather to a death camp. we were Taken to Normandy where American soldiers laid down their lives for people they had not even met and would never met over 9000 in one day !
My son is in the US navy now and defending us all
Honestly I know many things are wrong and people want change but you can not do it by this ( staying in the changing room) and for us just not watching them disrespect the sacrifice is the first step in a long and painful road
They/we all need to show respect to the anthem and they need to come out of the changing room to show that those and many other men and women did not die in vain for their freedom. After all how many men died in the civil war? To make a different America, do they not deserve thanks and honor
Before I get off my soap box maybe if they/ we were all flown to one of the camps that the nazis ran they too would understand (what we do in Europe) that you must honor the sacrifice made for freedom and find a different way to change peoples attitudes. After all MLK said “ change only happens when both sides win and feel like they have won”
