The problem I have with points is that you are never sure what they are worth. I had one small refund coming and they were going to give me 39 points for my $.50 refund. Sounds like they are keeping 22% to me. And I have noticed that when you buy points it would be cheaper to just pay the extra amount in cash if you are taking a trip and trying to use points to pay.
