Doug, you just reminded me of a memory.
I spent many hours collecting those and .25 cent chips from Sunset Station. That is correct the dealers would ask for them back. However if you tipped they would look the other way and I would also pocket some when dealers would move around the table. I once at stacks from both places. It was always an added bonus when you were winning.
