I remember the free samples & have just one around here somewhere, from their table at that convention. They weren't well received. Handed out samples the first day. Met some resistance the 2nd day, and on the 3rd day, as I recall, they had packed up and covered their table; didn't show that final day.
The ICG company (International Coin Grading, I think) evolved into IGS (International Grading Service). Interestingly, they are still in business, and still offering to slab casino chips -- though main business is trading cards & coins.
